The RoadKing shock data sheet (below) is provided because some
shock applications are not available yet.
There are three measurements that we need to fit the RoadKing shocks
on most motor home chassis.
- We need the inside diameter of the shock bushing. This information
can be determined by placing a socket on the head of the shock
bolt mounting nut. Measure the upper and lower nuts by using a
socket. (example) 3/4" bolt uses a 1 1/8" socket.
- The next measurement we need is the length of the shock bushing.
Measure the shock bushing upper and lower because
some bushings are longer on the upper or lower shock mounting
brackets.
- The final measurement is the length of the shock with the vehicle
on level ground. Measure the center between the upper and lower
shock mounting bolts. This documents the length of the shock at
ride height. If the shock has a stem, always measure the length
of the shock mounting from the center of the two bushing on the
stem. The shock mounting braket on a stem mount shock is between
the two bushings on the stem. If the shock is a stem on top or
bottom measure from the center of the two stem bushings to the
center of the shock mounting bolt, or if the shock is a stem stem
you would measure from the center of the two bushing to the center
of the other two bushings. Always measure carefully so we have
good data, this insures that when we build and ship your RoadKing
shocks they will fit properly.
